Guitar Lesson 2 Songs

Songs with first chords

I recommend that you visit the Tabledit site and download their free Player or buy the software -
each lesson will have TablEdit files with it.

G, C and D7

A number tells you which finger to use.
O means play that string 'open' - no finger touching it.
X means try not to play that string at all.
Start thinking about these chords as 1, 2 and 3.
In this picture, 1=G; 2=C; and 3=D7.
But for other pictures in Lesson 2 1=D; 2=G; and 3=A7.
Or 1=A; 2=D; and 3=E7.

Thinking in numbers, and putting chords to those numbers, will let you play the same chord pattern in several keys.
Changing keys makes it easier to sing some songs.
